This policy explains how Creative Focus Limited ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information. It applies to our website (https://www.creativefocus.co.nz), our services, and our Meta (Facebook) app "Creative Focus Ads Manager". We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

1. Who we are

Creative Focus Limited is a digital marketing agency based in New Zealand.

2. What information we collect

  • Contact and enquiry forms: details you give us, such as your name, email address, phone number, business name and message.

  • Client business information: information our clients provide so we can deliver our services, such as business contact details, account access, campaign goals, budgets and billing details.

  • Website analytics and cookies: information about how visitors use our website, such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location. This is collected using cookies and similar tools.

  • Advertising pixels: our website may use advertising pixels or tags (for example from Meta or Google) to measure the results of our advertising and show relevant ads.

  • Data accessed via Meta APIs: our app "Creative Focus Ads Manager" uses the Meta Marketing API only to create, manage and report on ad campaigns for our clients' ad accounts. This includes ad account, campaign, ad and performance data. The app does not collect personal information from Facebook users, apart from what is needed to sign in our own staff (such as their name, Facebook user ID and access token).

  • Data accessed via Google APIs: our internal tool "Creative Focus Ads Manager" uses the Google Ads API only to create, manage and report on ad campaigns for Google Ads accounts our clients have authorised us to manage. This includes account, campaign, ad, keyword, budget and performance data. We do not sell this data or use it for any other purpose. Creative Focus's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries and communicate with you

  • provide, manage and report on our marketing services

  • create, manage and report on ad campaigns for our clients

  • authenticate our staff when they use our Meta app

  • understand and improve our website and services

  • send invoices and manage our business relationship with clients

  • meet our legal obligations

We only use information for the purpose it was collected for, or a directly related purpose, unless you agree or the law allows otherwise.

4. Sharing your information

We may share information with:

  • Meta Platforms – to run and report on advertising campaigns through Meta's tools and APIs.

  • Google – for website analytics and advertising services.

  • Service providers – trusted providers who help us run our business (for example hosting, email, software and accounting providers). They may only use the information to provide services to us.

  • Others where required by law.

We never sell personal information.

Some of these providers may store information outside New Zealand. When this happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure the information is protected in a way that is comparable to the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

5. Storage and security

We store information using secure, reputable systems and take reasonable steps to protect it from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access or disclosure. Access is limited to people who need it to do their work. Access tokens from Meta are stored securely and used only for the purposes described in this policy. If a privacy breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the people affected and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner as required by law.

6. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law (for example, tax and accounting records). When we no longer need it, we securely delete or anonymise it.

7. Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:

  • ask for access to the personal information we hold about you

  • ask us to correct personal information that you think is wrong

To make a request, email info@creativefocus.co.nz. We will respond as soon as reasonably practicable, and within 20 working days. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on your request.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings, and manage ad preferences in your Meta and Google account settings.

8. Office of the Privacy Commissioner

If you have a concern about how we handle your information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied, you can make a complaint to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at www.privacy.org.nz.

Data deletion instructions

You can ask us to delete your personal information at any time, including any data related to our Meta app "Creative Focus Ads Manager".

Option 1 – Email us

  1. Send an email to info@creativefocus.co.nz with the subject "Data deletion request".

  2. Include your name and the email address or Facebook account linked to your information, so we can find your data.

  3. We will delete your data, unless we must keep it by law, and confirm by email within 30 days.

Option 2 – Remove the app from Facebook

  1. Log in to Facebook and go to Settings > Apps and Websites.

  2. Find "Creative Focus Ads Manager" and select Remove.

  3. This stops the app from accessing your Facebook data. To have any data we already hold deleted, also email us as described in Option 1. We will confirm deletion within 30 days.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the "Last updated" date shown at the top.
